In fairness, he did swing wide about 8-10 feet to widen the arc for the corner - but not until after Power had already swung wide to take his chosen line for the corner. Especially in this case, where the track is 100 feet wide, we can't be pussying around saying a 10 foot move when you have 50 feet to the next nearest car is blocking - especially when it has zero effect on the progress of the other car. The rule has been taken completely too far since Indy - it's time for Barnhart to go. |
