Same here, the current chassi is awesome, one of the most beautiful I ever saw, I hope the new chassi will look better when the teams presents the liveries for 2009 season.

I'm not sure anything can make them look better:

More pics...

João Paulo de Oliveira, first pole ever from a brazilian driver in F-Nippon

Image

Tsugio Matsuda, after 6 poles in a row he lost the pole position for Oliveira

Image

Takashi Kogure saved the day for PIAA NAKAJIMA with his 3rd time, his teammate Loic Duval was only 11th

Image

Oliveira, very happy with his first pole, will the first win come in this race?

Image

Matsuda, only needs to finish 6th in the first race to win the championship

Image

Takashi Kogure, very concentrated

The old car looks also much better IMO, but with those great liveries in this series they might turn alright.

Any change that Carlo Van Dam will be driving in F-Nippon next year? He looks close involved with Toms.

Carlo Van Dam, after today F3 race, won the championship, I don't know about next year, but the natural way is to go to Formula Nippon

Yeah that's why I mentioned it, awesome job by him. And I don't think it will be bad for his career if he stays and stick for F Nippon. Love the Super GT so would be nice too if he can get a ride there next year (already did some laps in the 1000km).

Now hoping he can put a great result in Macau.

Race 2 classified after 5 laps + red flag + safety car start.

Must have been biblical rain.

No, it wasn't, Donington Park Superleague race 2 had more rain than Fuji, the problem is the Fuji circuit organizers, they didn't let the race go on

n00b question, but here it goes. Why did they divide the Suzuka race in two? And apparently, other races have been divided as well...

Red flag.

No, it's the new racing format, modeled after GP2. They run 2 races with the first 8 positions (if I'm not mistaken) reversed in race 2.

It's not all the races, it's just some races that are "double races weekend" so they have 2 races, the second race has the first 8 from race 1 reversed, next race for an example at Sugo will be a single race weekend.

I know, any reason for that? I guess it's just because they're experimenting with the new format, otherwise it doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

And BTW, was the result of the second race official or was it cancelled and declared void?

In the first case, that means Matsuura won a "race"" :D
