Racing fans wishing to reduce the amount of racing taking place (lol).

The more series floating around the more exposure for motor racing, the higher interest in motor racing, the more driving rotating through the sport, the more opportunities for engineers and mechanics to go through the ranks and the more action for us as spectators.

I agree, but not always is the case.

I would rather, for example, have a junior formula series with 35 cars than 3 series that barely get 12-car grids.

Agree on that point Gabriel. Afterall, when another new series starts it simply cannibalises the entries (along with teams including jobs) of other formulas.

In that regard I agree, but it's good to have series running around the world such as Formula Pacific in Asia which although have small grids at least give people in those areas opportunity they would not otherwise have. Consolidating series run in the same part of the world to form a larger more competitive series and still maintaining that level of opportunity for all involved would be ideal.

F2 is too low to be useful. It isn't a decent step over F3, and F3 has enough variations to get a drive through till GP2.

AugoGP, just because it is

F2, because if you want to name a series just below F1, the cars should not look like F Ford cars with wings...

and other votes would go to GP3 (or F3, one of them should just go), and super league

GP3 and Formula BMW are completely pointless IMO.

GP3 isn't really that pointless is it? A step below GP2, 30 car grids in full view of the F1 world.

Superleague Formula. I just don't even get why someone would come up with the premise of it then think it was a good idea.

What it does achieve is making Euro F3 a little pointless.

Heck, most of the drivers from the Abu Dhabi GP2 race came from GP3 and also some are doing the young driver test.

GP3 reminds me a bit of the old Opel Euroseries that used to support F1.

While I agree the concept was stupid (and that put a lot of people off finding out how awesome the on-track product was), I respect series like SLF and A1GP for doing something different and not trying to be part of the same ladder series as every other series out there, they tried to be independent and do their own thing.

While they were under no illusions that they were going to beat F1 at their own game (well, maybe Tony Texeria was! :p ) they proved there could be a strong alternative series out there to provide interest for when F1 wasn't in town.
I'm sure the TV companies, tracks, etc wouldn't turn down the extra revenue, especially with the extortionate prices Bernie charges.

Its better to try and be independent and use that as your niche rather than just another series that you can only define in relation to where it is on the F1 Ladder.

GP3 is bullshit because there is already a well established F3 which has Macau.

The entire F3 has gone down the drain. F3 Euroseries was a joke and GP3 was indeed somewhat useless. However Auto GP and Superleague are really worthless.

I get the impression that Bernie Ecclestone was trying to replace F3 with his own series, and doing the same thing he did to World Sportscars. Killing it off.

AutoGP and F2 are boring IMO

The GP3 races were often good especially during the first season. :D

F3 needed a kick up the arse though. It's become splintered and a mess. And look what good GP2 did to the ladder underneath it when F3000 and the equivalents all died off.

My problem with GP3 is it's pretty bloody dull. Even the cars sound boring. These are spec cars, there is no excuse for dullness. Give them a nice sounding exhaust at least. Even if hurts performance, they've all got to use them and it'll stop them sounding like a grid of Vauxhall Corsas.

AutoGP and Superleague Formula by a landslide according to the poll.
