So suped up Palmer Audis then? Nice. I have faith in Palmer, he's made Oulton Pk and Cadwell nicer since he's had them.

And quite a lot of car manufacturers see the longer term future moving more towards smaller capacity turbo/super charged engines instead of larger normally aspirated engines in this bastardised eco conscious world.

Same for the FIA. Should have left the F2 name alone.

Now it is being dug with a silly idea of an other single seater series.

Does anyone know the Tv coverage of this, properly not though? Hope it's going to be on the BBC channels. Also is Gp2 being still show on ITV4 next year?

I think some drivers with very little backing have an eye for this. Of the names who have competed in GP2 possibilities are Carroll, Valles, Soucek, Asmer...

Its my understanding that GP2 will be moving to the BBC with every race been shown Live on BBCi. Porsche SuperCup is also likely to be moving to BBCi

I think it is still a bit earlie to talk about coverage in detail...

I mean F1 on the BBC, in response to StefMeiser's post. Details are supposed to be announced soon. Hence "off topic"

Will the F2 be a supporter race of the F1 then?

That was the idee when FIA first talked about it, but with GP2 and for some races GP3 in the program, I think there isn't much time for it.

Legard and Brundle are frontrunners for commentary, with Jake Humphreys in the studio with DC.

On the other hand, there could be a lot of 5Live people involved (Holly Samos in the pitlane etc.). The BBC are revealing nothing right now, but there should be something before the end of the month.

That sounds really shitty tbh

Legard's bloody good, from what I've heard. Certainly better than that mountain of failure David Croft, who would probably be second in line. At least James knows what he's talking about some of the time, Croft is clueless.

Humphreys may be new to motorsport, but he has a reputation for really getting into whichever sport he's covering. Jury's still out on him. Coulthard...he may be shit for 19 out of 20 races next year, but that one race where he rips someone a new arsehole will be worth it.

Legard is really boring. He might know more but he has the charisma of a radiator. He would be a terrible choice. At least Croft and Allen have energy, even if they doesn't know what they're talking about half the time

And Humphreys is a kids presenter, not a sports presenter, as far as I'm concerned. F1 needs a serious presenter like Rider (although he's been a disappointment, that's probably down to the producers more than him). But then the BBC don't have any decent alternatives anyway these days

Which is the BBC's problem, they have to look in-house because they have no funding to bring in the bigger freelancing names.

I don't know. We'll see who is announced.

My problem with Humphreys at the Olympics was that it felt like he was still diluting it down as you would for the kids.
