If only they'd use the start line as the finish line. I still don't understand why on some tracks start and finish aren't at the same place.

Finish line needs to be either before all pit boxes or after all of them. If start line is somewhere between, the finish line is before the pits.

Of the F1 circuits, Melbourne, Monaco and Montreal (+Valencia) have finish line after pit boxes.

Me neither! Surely Interlagos is the anomaly there? Isn't the line about halfway down the pit straight?
