Not a single oval before Indy? That makes little sense. Putting Motegi back to April makes it more sensible. Throwing Loudon in between the road/street courses is also suspicious but I guess NASCAR has the priority here and the 08/14 date has been confirmed already.

It's not like IndyCar Series had a choice with ISC tracks. No sponsors, no promotion, no people in the stands and overall only NASCAR behaviour from ISC was enough for Randy to get them off the calendar.

It won't be any better with SMI. Vegas has been failure for both IRL/CCWS in the past. New Hampshire went downhill after the first IndyCar race in 1992. Now Kentucky is seeing problems with attendance. Imagine it next year when they add more seating.

Season finale will be either Las Vegas or Fontana if the first one fails to materialise.

Meh, I wish Milwaukee would be after Indy, but still, I'm glad it's back...

More forced out by ISC rather. When you aren't even allowed to promote the race, things go down hill in a hurry.

Blessing in disguise as getting away from the ISC tracks should allow some others in. Road America!

The Glen is ISC's only road course.

Road Atlanta, Sebring, and Mosport are all Panoz owned tracks. Sadly I don't think any of them have the capability of hosting an Indycar race. Most don't have sufficient grandstands. All are sportscar tracks, so most of the spectator areas are hills which I doubt Indycar likes much. In the case of Mosport, the infrastructure is laughable... I can pretty much guarantee you'll never see Indycar race at a Panoz track.

You only need like 12,000 seats to host an IRL race I thought.

That's true, because people won't bother to go watch a race, when they can watch it on TV all across the country through VERSUS and their excelent nationwide availability.

Still no Laguna Seca nor Road America. What are they waiting for? Does it have anything to do with Honda not wanting to associate its image with Mazda or what?

Laguna Seca isn't wide enough for the current IndyCars, and I highly doubt it has something to do with Mazda considering that Long Beach is still sponsored by Toyota (or is it the Toyota dealers of the area?).

No, it's just Toyota.

I've read a rumour that Penske might be scalling back to two cars next year and axe Briscoe who might end up with de Ferran/Dragon (co-owned by Jay Penske) instead.
