Has there been any further mention or discussion about getting Cleveland back on the calendar?

Jay Howard in the #15 RLL machine at Vegas. Well, how many cars run at Vegas? I think we have about 30 starter.

We have Davey Hamilton in a third entry for D&R, two RLL cars, one Dragon, a second Panther for Rice, and i think Wade Cunningham in a second Sam Schmidt entry and Dan Wheldon in the #98 machine, what is with AFS and SH Racing?

No, unfortunately. I'm afraid the Cleveland GP is nothing more than memory now.

2012 IndyCar Schedule Update

-New Hampshire highly unlikely to return in 2012.
http://www.racer.com/report-new-hampshi ... le/212568/

-With Kentucky and Las Vegas questionable for 2012. IndyCar may have only 4 oval races next season.

-Road America may join the schedule next season. Only issue is finding a date.
http://www.racer.com/report-indycar-at- ... le/212611/

-Rumor: Sonoma will be dropped for shared weekend with ALMS at Laguna Seca.

-Detroit City Council has approved the IndyCar race at Belle Isle for June 1-3.

Pathetic. I love road racing, but jeez, you've gotta have a few short ovals...

ISC and SMI own too many tracks. So Texas and Fontana will be the only tracks left on the Indycar schedule owned by either?

With New Hampshire, Kentucky, Vegas and Sears Point all owned by SMI, can't imagine Texas staying any longer then

Didn't know a computer company owned racetracks (you mean SMI, Gaara).

Well, it's terrible that's a lot of Ovals tracks can't return to Indycar. I think Michigan, for example.

Seriousely, i didn't understand why Nascar and Indycar don't make some arrangement for 2 or 3 ovals. When i'm think then not so long time, Indycar almost make an arrangement to run at Daytona...

NASCAR does not own any tracks. The people who run NASCAR happen to own a decent amount of tracks. And they have shown a lack of cooperation time and time again when it comes to running other series on their tracks.

IndyCar attendance problem at ovals are problem at non ISC owned tracks, also. Randy Bernard picked and worked with the promoter of the Milwaukee race. That ended up being lowest attended race of the season.

Didn't help matters when there's another race at Road America at the same time and with iffy weather.

It was SCCA event.

Yeah, but I imagined that it took a chunk out of that crowd (combined with aforementioned iffy weather).

I highly doubt that. Milwaukee Mile is one of few tracks that's actually located in the city. Poor promotion and lack of interest is probably the real cause behind Milwaukee poor attendance.

Every oval race in IRL history outside of Indy and Iowa has consisted of pretty much empty stands. Ever since George screwed everything up attendance at oval races has declined rapidly.

Maybe they should revive the Michigan 500 or go back to Phoenix.

Good luck with Michigan. I, like everyone else, would love to see them go back to Michigan, but I doubt ISC would really want the IndyCars back in Michigan, for whatever reason.
