Top one a bit too aggressive but I would've loved the second one with its lights for throttle/brake and positions etc.

Its a trick that japanese open wheel series uses that I'm surprised more series haven't cottoned on to.
(Alms does something similar with different lights for Classes etc)

The whole chasis tender process was a bit of a bust anyway, everyone knew they'd go with Dallara before they announced it and that is what came to pass.

I guess we got a nice few "what if..." pictures out of it, and the Deltawing is a bit of a legacy (so depending on your perspective if that's a positive or negative, maybe answer after June! ) but in the end nothing too unexpected.

I can't imagine Simona will be driving the Lotus much longer after that debacle.

It's not really up to her, more than it's up to the team and the other manufacturers being able and willing to provide them engines.

Well now that the one off teams have gone back into hibernation maybe they could. It's harsh for her to be the only Lotus powerpla out there.

There would be engines from any of the 4 Honda one-offs (Jourdain, Clauson, Cunningham, Bell) or the 2 Chevy ones (Saavedra, Beatriz).

Those engines belong to the teams or the manufacturers can take them back and provide them to other teams?

I don't see how they would WANT to continue with Lotus. There is really no point, obviously.

Well, with Fan Force and Alesi out of the way, they'd be..the works team!

Not that it'd be good for them.

I would also assume they would get the manufacturer support to run another car also.

I wonder if the teams sueing Lotus can use the fact that Bahar is now suspended. That pretty much proofs he fooled the bunch.

Rumor has it some of the (Chevy?) team owners want to get rid of Randy. He just acknowledged this on Twitter:
it is true that an owner is calling others trying to get me fired. I have had several owners confirm this. disappointing

Yeah, Jenna Fryer wrote an article about that last week, also claiming that Roger Penske was really pissed with Bernard for the whole turbo feud and he wouldn't even talk to him during the Month of May.

Penske is having hissy fits because they are the biggest operation by some distance and still manage to bottle it and lose to Ganassi, despite Ganassi being a fraction of Penskes size (although still considerably larger than almost every other IndyCar team), and Ganassis inability to calculate fuel mileage properly. Now Penske has a considerable advantage with the unbalanced engines, which IndyCar promised to balance, and he wants to keep it that way. The fact they once again lost the Indy 500 despite the raw speed they've shown won't help that either.

Chevy teams have an advantage they shouldn't have, and they want to keep it that way. We're all sitting looking at Lotus as the odd engine out with how bad it is, but the Chevy v Honda issue is the one which will have the biggest effect on the championship.
