They need to start pushing for three car teams

Well, Vandoorne is managed by Button's team...

I wrote last year when I briefly met him how Vandoorne reminded me of Hulkenberg. Same talent!

That's an easy choice- Alonso.

Vandoorne can go to to Force India and Button can do triathlons or something.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Wasn't Mclaren closing their ties to Force India, so maybe he might be put in a seat right there.

I think Honda wants Button in a Mclaren next year.

I thought Magnussen was placed into McLaren so that he could gain a season's experience, meaning that come 2015 Button could retire or move on and McLaren would promote Vandoorne.

I thought it was more they were worried that Button might move on and Perez might not improve, they didn't want the possibility of having to put two rookies in the team. I wouldn't have seen Button leaving though unless Perez did massively improve, as Hamilton mentioned in an interview, Button's not retiring any time soon.

Has any other driver in GP2 won in his debut race? Kovalainen won the very first GP2 race, but other than that?

I'm fully expecting Button to retire at the end of this season, although I also fully expect to be proved wrong. Jenson could easily be overshadowed by Magnussen this year, he's lost his father and a mainstay of Jenson's entire career, plus he's recently got engaged to Jessica. Jenson has achieved so much and has not much left to do, he's certainly not going to win any more titles and unlikely will win any further races unless the stars fully align. What's his motivation now? Everything is falling in to place for Jenson to step back from the cockpit.

Magnussen and Vandoorne are McLaren's protegees. If Button or Alonso drive for McLaren in 2015 then it will be for the short term while Honda fully integrates with McLaren, whereas Vandoorne plus Magnussen are McLaren's future whether it be 2015 or 2016 onwards.

How was the GP2 race, is it worth downloading?

Had it's moments but personally I wouldn't watch it again.

Personally I think McLaren should and will keep Button for next year, they'll need the continuity and experiance.

McLaren put the bar very high. The junior driver has to be at least on par with Button. If not, he will not be retained (Perez).

Yeah with the Honda engines coming next year, putting inexperienced drivers in the car isn't the best thing to do.

I'd go with McLaren and Honda perhaps setting up a B team... Super Aguri style.
