Oh, yeah, Brayton, forgot about him.

Sorry, Scott.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Brighton and Dana. Or didn't I understand him right? You can add Renna, but noone has seen the shunt yet.

I wonder if the hole in Conway''s tub is the cause of the foot injury, not the impact itself

Probably got punctured by the suspension pieces.

For some reason, Brighton does not come to mind. When did that happen?

And then you have Conway himself.

And then there are the 5,000 spectators who were in the firing line had Conway's tub breached the fence as Renna's did.

How does the IRL keep getting away with it?

Well, lets be fair. The tub didn't breach the fence because the fences have been upgraded. And the debris flying at the drivers happens in any open wheel series (see Massa, Surtees), it's just one of those things. We can't blame Indy Car for that.

The only worrying thing for me is the fact the car took off again. But short of changing the car, they can't fix that. And they won't change the car because it'd cost too much money for a car which is being dropped soon. The only thing I can think of is add a shark fin and make some underbody changes. But costs, times, etc. The cars already very old. Bodging more parts onto it won't fix it.

Car got in the air because they hit wheels and lifted the front of Conway's car. Once the nose got in the air, just like almost any race car, when your going 200mph and get air under it, your prolly going for a ride. Nothing really to do with the aero with the car in this incident I dont think.

Anyway, those last 10 laps were tense. I mean, really tense. Good entertainment.

Yeah, good race, good race.

I am almost fearful of what might happen in Charlotte to 'out-drama' the first two races of today.

I actually thought it was a slightly underwhelming race. Dramatic finish with the fuel situation and crash but not much interesting happened before that with Franchitti simply a class above.

Not an incredibly spectacular race, it was really saved by the last ten laps. Nobody had anything for Franchitti. Maybe, maybe one of the Penske cars, but with their luck they couldn't do anything. Good for Franchitti though.

Yeah, the crash actually sours the race for me, and not in, oh, I don't want to see people crash type of way. For 30 laps they asked a question and now it feels like you've still got the question, but you'll never have the answer.

It's Indy though, you usually don't get really great battle through the beginning 3/4's of the race anyway.
