phil1993 - What about F3000 (and even FR3.5)? I'm not sure if I remember an American driver winning in F3000.

I'll let you investigate that one. Dillmann won't race tomorrow which pretty much hands Carlin the teams' title.

Thanks PT. I've looked over the F3000 International series history and no American driver won. In fact no American driver took part until Elton Julian in 1994. So yes, Rossi is the first American driver to win at this F1 supporting level, plus he's the only American driver to win in FR3.5 (includes Open Fortuna by Nissan). Just him and Cheever then.

Thanks Jacob. I'm pretty sure no US driver won in F3000 but I'll check, not so sure about FR3.5 or Formula Nissan.
