Just got a call from someone at iRacing and my time in the iRacing simulator was in the top 9 among IndyCar Nation members. I'll be competing against the other 8 and one driver from the field in some promotion they're doing.

Was it fixed setup?

I'd love to actually drive in one of the sims. Would beat my laptop and concocted wheel layout!

I'm not sure, although I'm willing to bet that it was a fixed setup. One of the prizes is a membership to iRacing, so I'll be able to crash into Chin whenever I want.

It's a deal he and Willy T. Ribbs made to enter himself in the Freedom 100.

If something big happens, you better not miss it. It would be a shame if something bad were to happen to your career...

On double-file restarts:

Quote:
Barnhart, IndyCar's president of competition and racing operations, said Thursday it's likely the restarts will begin about 900 feet from the first turn so drivers can go fast enough to eliminate congestion, yet slow enough that they won't crash on the tiny rubber bits - known as marbles - in the corners.

Could be from the s/f line.

Oh, and there will be 2 sweepers in T1,2 and 2 in T3,4 to sweep the marbles during each caution period.
