Wonder if it'll look so pretty on the back of a wrecker.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

At least you will see it one moment during the race when he crashes. Not like Legge who was too slow to crash.

No, she spent her oval races finishing in the top 10 instead.

1 top 10 result in the last race for a person who was (probably) fighting for her seat is barely impressive. During the season she was mostly several laps down when she finished.

Because Saavedra is a bastion of strong finishes.

If they had actually signed someone decent I wouldn't be making snide remarks about them. The only thing Saavedra has brought to the team is an increased damage bill.

Sooner or later Jay's going to have to get the balaclava and crowbar out again in order to fund the repair bills.

I lolled

But still Legge got too many chances already in her career. Not saying Savaadra is a better driver but just pointing that out.

The track record is somewhere over 237, that's imposibile for these cars, tbh,

Oops, sorry about that. I was wondering where that headline came from when it was Hinch at the front.

1 lap record is 239 and change, the 4 lap record is indeed in the 237 bracket. They could break the track record if the series let them turn the wick up to what the engines could really produce. Probably never happen unfortunately.

Does anyone know, what kind of top speeds have they reached so far? Do they get anywhere near to 240mph?

1 lap is 237.498mph by Arie Luyendyk in 1996.
4 lap is 236.985mph also by Arie Luyendyk in 1996.

Fastest 4 lap average since 1996 was Helio's 231.725 in 2003. Fastest 1 lap was Wheldon's 232.202 the same year.

I think the 239 lap was in practice in 1996. So it is unofficial but still recognized in some capacity.

Part of the paint of Saavedra's paint just peeled off down the mainstraight. Kind of bizarre.

Is it paint or a vinyl wrap?

Sorry about screwing up the record speeds. Been reading wiki about past 500's for the last few days and must've got crossed up.

"Spaceball 1... They went straight to plaid"

"Ha, they must've overshot us by a week and a half"
