Vidéo of Bilinski Aron Big crash:

Damn good seats at the final corner there this weekend, so many big crashes (and it was dry the whole weekend too, unlike a lot of previous runnng here!)

They didn't initially replay the crash, were they worried one of the drivers were hurt?

Still, it's a bit JR Hildebrand of Aron there, crashing right on the final corner about 2m from the finish line :8:

FRECA season 2024 starts today.
I hate that for most of the rounds they support International GT Open, because their YouTube stream is low quality 1080p25, whereas when supporting DTM, or GT World Challenge Cup the streams were nice and smooth 1080p60.

Wow, and our commentator was talking about how they lost 2 teams with 3 cars each after last season :o

Wow Wharton went all the way around the outside of Deligny at the hairpin :8:

That's brave!

GT Open stream is just low quality regardless framerate, there's awful 'ghosting' like right now in this Regional stream so its not even properly halved framerate.

ps. Youtube actually only supports supports 30 or 60 framerates for live streams. Which sucks for European sports produced in 1080p50 in mind because some frames need to be then duplicated and once you see the stutter you can't unsee it. Altough right now hard to see because of the ghosting.

What this series needs is Ian Salvestrin as a commentator to yell "Ugo Ugochukwu" every 10 seconds :p

FREG is racing this weekend at Spa. Let's hope they will not create another bad crash...

Just as I said that, there's a Red Flag due to big accident at the Raidillon. Looks like his right front suspension was broken and just couldn't avoid the wall

The way his car spun back over the track wasn't a good memory tbh

Think we need to rethink the pitlane exit and put gravel traps back there, he wouldn't have been thrown across the course if there was gravel there...

Right, but also I can't imagine GT cars going out of the pit lane into the racing line at the inside of Eau Rouge/Raidillon :|

I wonder if FRECA will have a knee-jerk reaction and install 1994 kind of fake chicane there.

They should put TECPRO in that corner, that usually keeps the car in place instead of catapulting it back on track

Most modern gravel traps have that "escape road" at the back between the gravel and barriers for cars who have dragged themselves out of the gravel to get access back onto the track, feels like that would be the solution here, gravel up to the pit lane exit, win/win

Yeah, maybe moving the pit exit lane more towards the red bit of the runoff and then putting a strip of gravel up to the wall.
