the new track is not bad. it's only problem is that it will always be compared with the original layout.

The old Hockenheim was a joke track.

like many tracks from the pre wwII era hockenheim was built for cars going fast. unlike todays tracks which are built to be safe and provide "entertainment" for tv viewers. doesn't make sense too compare classic and modern tracks.

They still have a thing for running tracks where you can't overtake

I don't know what Magny Cours races you people have been watching, but that track was awful

I rememeber the pre-internet days of F1 and I never heard of Magny Course having a "character". That's a straight out lie spread by people living in the social media fraud reality. You might sell this lie to some new kid on the block but not to someone who follows F1 for 28 years like me....

Why does every new Grand Prix track has to have like 55 turns? They should make them shorter, simpler, short lap times and high number of laps. Hockenheim and the A1 Ring are simple layouts that produce decent races :whistling: two classic tilke tracks provide decent racing yet everybody shits on h...

typical f1 fans. you get to see a new venue and you're still unhappy.

would be a knee jerk reaction to change the track now. there have been plenty of motorcycle races at this circuit in the past and there never was a similar a crash like this, so of course the circuit is unsuitable for motorcycles. wonder if there would be the same discussion if it happened at catalu...

The destruction of Imola in 1995 was worse than Hockenheim. They forgot about making overtaking spots. The Villeneuve chicane is one of the worst corners in racing. are you serious? the Villeneuve chicane is a blast to drive in sims. there are so many bad circuits built since the year 2000. and yet...

If there was a breakaway series that adopted all rules from the early 2000's, I would never look back at F1. Even new A1GP would do.

the closest thing we had was the superleague formula and it died after 4 seasons because almost nobody cared about it.
