How can the Vettel and Grosjean overtakes even be compared? just look at it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILep8RzQjNg Vettel chose to go all the way beyond the kerbs even though Button left room. Vettel made the radius of the corner bigger which results in maintaining a higher speed on exit. The p... |

I always liked the old system where the races were roughly 2 weeks apart, and seemed to follow a logical progression. Now the scheduling doesn't really make sense, either date wise and logistics wise, it just feels ad hoc. |

A feature from today's Autosport magazine which I thought people would appreciate, which talks about how the new teams for the 1973 season got their start in F1... The new F1 teams of 1973 Four outfits emerged during the 1973 season, with varying degrees of success. Gary Watkins and Edd Straw recall... |

Here's a good article from Dieter Rencken at Autosport in which he discusses some of the ongoing challenges and irregularities / instabilities of how the F1 calendar is structured (and races are awarded). It's been a subtle but profound shift in strategy on the part of F1's commercial rights holder,... |

Dieter Rencken is a great writer and his articles are always worthy of reading. The calendar is an utter mess (but what part of F1 isn't??) and it goes to show how unsustainable the trend of the past 10-15 years is. Why does Bernie, FOM and the rest of F1 believe it is immune to the economic challe... |

Absolutely, but I wasn't saying Alonso would be quicker (I did say I would put my money on him, only if I had to), all I did was question why there are so many comments on the internet about Kimi demolishing Fernando. You and I totally agree on this. And I actually owe you an apology Mika Kimi. My ... |

Firstly, no-one is saying Massa is better than Kimi. Rather it was a couple of jokes that myself and Fish88 made, let's not take these things too seriously... And secondly. In 2008 Kimi was as good and fast as he was in 2007. It was rather circumstance and a minor adjustment to that year's Ferrari t... |

There are two channels of thought against it, litigation and competition. Litigation - a customer car part brakes leading to someone's death, who is responsible, the team (b), the driver, or the team (a) who supplied the part to team (B). Competition - to quote Frank Williams, "I don't want to ... |

I don't see Kimi being allowed to choose the date tbh. And why Monza...because it's Monza. Yeah they've 'only' done it twice there but most of the time the drivers were staying static. This is a huge announcement, the biggest since the Schumacher signing. Ferrari is going to field 2 world champions.... |

meh, you're all wrong. Apparently, during a party in Helsinki, a very drunk Kimi told someone he would be in red next year. Yes, this was rumoured in mid-August, less than two weeks after Hungarian GP. Ellis, I don't know what makes you think that this Räikkönen-Ferrari deal was rushed. What I've u... |

Murray Walker is 90 years old today. To mark the occasion, Mario Muth - who has interviewed several Formula 1 personalities - went to visit him. This is a very good way to spend an hour!
