Max Papis brought a Gibbs Cup car to Monza, drove on the oval and the GP layout, though with a bunch of chicanes set up for the rally cars.

Even had lights for night running.


Almost forgot, he took Zanardi for a ride too.

When the race comes closer, I think we should rename the thread as a tribute to Eddie who passed away a time ago as he was always contributing a lot into the Ring 24 Hours threads.

Just an idea. Of course we should do the same to Slyder as well somehow.

Laguna Seca is back on the calendar for 2013, which is just fantastic.

Also Jerez is back for the first time since 1990 (struck off the calendar in '94) but that is boring compared to the above news.

Here's a video of the Jason Bright crash in qualifying. Doesn't look that violent, but it was a sideways impact.

For me, Tony did not see the driver until the blue car passed, witch was blocking the way, and he throttled up in order to go away from the kid, because he was past the safe side, or he knew they were in a crash course already.

The police report stated it was deemed a non criminal incident. So unless the family decides to press charges, or the race track, I don't see how Tony would be convicted of anything. Just reading back through some of the posts since I went to bed last night, it's clear some of you have a lot of angr...
