So as promised, here are the pictures of my short trip to Monaco two weeks ago. The track was almost completed, except for some grandstands and the swimming pool chicanes. I could walk freely in the pits and the drivers briefing rooms :D It's really strange to see the city in its everyday setting: e...

I know J.Morelli posts some silly things at times, but I really do think people are picking through what he's posted here for the sake of it, if I had seen the dude on Perez's helmet I'd have had no idea what he was, but now I do thanks to J.Morelli and that's the fantastic thing with this forum, yo...

Really, the worst possible person won this race. It fucking sucks. Right, you've had your moan, we all know Dario is worse than Hitler, now it's time to calm down. +1. I just don't get the point why everybody seems to hate Franchitti. It looks like Franchitti is now "as gay as Jeff Gordon"...

To be clear, I'm not resentful because he won, and I'm not resentful because he wins a lot. I'm upset because he won in such a cowardly fashion. Defending the lead of the Indy 500 in the final lap is now cowardly. Every other driver on the grid would have made that move, and some would h...

And what you seem to be totally ignoring is that Webber was stuck behind Schumi for lap after lap and despite the DRS advantage found it difficult to get around him. What you're also totally ignoring is how Jenson got around Webber, which was thanks to a mistake Mark made when attempting to get arou...

Can the mods have an auto-correct that changes 'Plato' to 'KING OF SANDWICHES'? Pleeeeeeease :p The Earl of Sandwich invented the Sandwich. Plato invented the plate. We usually use the word 'king to refer to plato anyway. Most Sunday's you can here people shout "that 'king Plato! Always that '...

Wow, bit late to this one, but shocking news, no doubt. I hate the kind of blame culture that goes on in these threads (and, of course, everywhere else too) as soon as a crash like this happens. The woman is still lying in a hospital bed and some are ready to criticise her without evidence of any wr...

It's a shame Hungary has been given the tarmac treatment everywhere, because it used to be a challenging little track with not a lot of room for error.

On the subject of great battles, this is one of my favourites. I know it's not Hungary, but meh. :p

I think someone also needs a word in Lewis's ear that it is possible to be beaten. In 2007, he was even with Fernando. The circumstances of which have been, are, and always will be debated over on Atlas. For two years, he was up against Heikki. A good racing driver, but not a great one. Suddenly, Je...

2012 Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix - Suzuka - Round 15 http://okinawahai.com/images/2012/01/1955Japans_flag.jpg A country who loves cars and motorsports. This one of the best ways to define Japan as we approach to another Japanese GP. The history of the Japanese GP began in 1976 at the Fuji Speedwa...

I was a big Grosjean supporter. I actually think he has an enormous amount of potential. But there comes a point where one has to say we have had 15 races this season and you still haven't sorted yourself out. Sort it out or we will sort it for you. When you make Maldonado and Andrea DeCesaris look ...

After we've finally recovered from the fact that Felipe Massa actually managed to score a podium, we move on to the imaginitively titled Korean International Circuit http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/19/Korea_international_circuit_v2.svg/260px-Korea_international_circuit_v2.svg.p...

The thing is, everytime a driver is lucky in a race there is always a huge discussion about it. I'm pretty sure that was the case post 2008 with Lewis, post Canada 2010 with Button and post Valencia 2012 with Alonso, plus other examples. Why shouldn't it be the same with Vettel? He WAS lucky yesterd...

A conversation for another time, but it wasn't the BBC's fault, blame Osborne, Patten & Thompson for the mess.

bah, beaten to it.

Nothing to do with it, the F1 money was ringfenced. When the Tories got into power they pulled the World Service funding and the BBC then had a massive budget shortfall. Yes the BBC has been miss-managed for years, but I'm afraid that F1 contract was tied up tighter than a ducks arse and the full fu...

Great battle for the lead today! but I'm hugely dissappointed afterwards to learn: 1) there were strict team orders not to race eachoter, with loads of laps to go, and only 2nd race of the season. That was chicken-chicken attitude from Red Bull. 2) a driver not listening to its team. A team that has...

Although Vettel is a complete ballsack, and showed complete disrespect towards his team mate, they are both racing drivers who were doing exactly that. If Webber deserved the victory, wouldn't he have crossed the line before Vettel? Vettel simply out raced him and Mark lost. Ultimately, isn't this w...
