Should be noted that Luffield isn't one of the corners the drivers were given warnings about track limits on. They were told track limits would only be monitored at Copse, Stowe & Club. “Further to the discussion in the drivers meeting yesterday evening I would like to confirm that we will again...

I thought Vettel pitted under VSC in Canada. Doesn't the rule say: "Drivers may not pit, unless it is to change tyres. "
I need to find the rulebook.
Its allowed in F1 but they started closing the pit lane under the VSC in GP2 after Monaco last year so that nobody gains any advantage.

I have to say that I agree with what Brundle & Davidson said during the race regarding Rosberg's penalty, What he did was on the limit but ultimately I feel it was just hard racing & I don't feel it deserved a penalty. A warning maybe but not a penalty. I personally was far more concerned wi...

Slightly different version of the side mounted camera from Spa 2016 (Angled upwards more than usual). Vettel had it on his car for Friday: https://c6.staticflickr.com/9/8221/28641077813_c4080abcb5_b.jpg Was on Ricciardo's car Saturday. https://c2.staticflickr.com/9/8058/29183676521_caa8985d5e_o.jpg ...

Cars producing 1,000bhp won't make the racing any better if cars can't get close enough to race due to aero & if the cars have so much overall grip that they look like there on rails anyway (Which is what I think were going to see next year). The turbo's of the 80s turned up to 1,000bhp+ in qual...

I still prefer the old qualifying. One hour, twelve laps. So what if there are times the track is empty. There's always the often forgotten system before that. One hour (Well 2 since they had 2 sessions) with no lap limits. The lap 12 lap limit was only really introduced to spice things up (Sound f...

Channel 5 cut to an Ad-break literally as Buemi crossed the line & the Ad-break showed nothing but ad's aimed at young kids which was odd.

Is there even a regulation saying your not allowed to insult officials? I think Verstappen's penalty was fair, He clearly braked way too late & ran off which gave him an advantage. Yes Vettel wasn't alongside but if Verstappen had braked in the right spot he likely would have been alongside. Reg...

Did I hear correctly on Sky yesterday that there's only been 30 overtakes on this miserable track? Probably misheard that. That figure & there reaction they were having to it actually shows how things have changed & how hard it is to please F1 fans. Nowadays it seems that 'only' having 30 o...

Now that we have seen a few 2017 cars I have a few thoughts. I like the wider tyres, wider cars & lower/wider rear wing. I think the sidepods not extending outwards to the edge of the floor looks a bit weird but overall I think those changes are all cool. The sweptback design of the front wing/r...

The helmet-cam they had on Newgarden during practice is a bit bigger than I was expecting: https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2822/32553495573_f35a4c6f3b_o.jpg https://vid.me/qpnP For comparison the old Champcar Visor-Cam: https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3811/33240221851_a507d7c770_o.jpg And the Helmet-Cam...

The way the sound comes across on TV isn't totally down to FOM as the various broadcasters all play around with the audio to insert there own commentary & to meet whatever audio mix there going for. If you take something like the FOM highlights channel or an FOM sat-feed for example, The track a...

I think it would be a shame for F1 to move away from the current engine format because volume aside the current power units are fantastic bits of kit & are far more interesting from a technical perspective than what we had before. I'd much rather they find ways to improve aspects of what we have...
