Not sure I agree with Webber's penalty. Yes Mark had all 4 wheels beyond the white line, However he only ended up there because Kobayashi didn’t leave him room to remain within the white line. The rules clarification from a few races ago states that when a driver behind gets his car alongside the on...

This is highlighting the problem with relying on DRS & high-deg tyres rather than doing something to the cars to improve the racing. DRS is too sensitive to specific conditions, It either works too well or not that well & its not necessarily the length of the zone which determines how it wor...

After 3 years of been positive about the direction of the series, I'm back to wondering why I even still give a damn about Indycar!

Michael Andretti was a much better driver than his part 1993 F1 season suggested. He may well have been treated differently by McLaren (Wouldn't be the only driver to claim this sort of thing while a #2 at McLaren) & maybe this did harm him in some way, However he could have done a lot of things...

Didn't one of the STR's (Vergne from memory) do a similar thing earlier this year?

Going back to the Di Grassi driver eye video/discussion. Hamilton was given a camera by the BBC in 2011 & said this was his drivers eye view: http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/4898/11131218166711tssnapsho.jpg There's also the old Champcar Visor-Cam which was often located at the same level as t...

McLaren have gone with a pull-rod front suspension setup. Some other details on the changes from Gary Anderson: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/21274591 "McLaren finished last year with the fastest car and the new MP4-28 looks like a good improvement on that. "The steps forward start...

Gary Anderson not impressed with the Mercedes: "At first glance I can't see where the 'step change in performance' Mercedes are talking about is going to come from with their new car. "There are a few changes here and there, but not necessarily in ways that look like they will be a big adv...

I wonder if Helmut Marko would be as forgiving had things happened the other way round.

I've warmed to it, they've tried to make it look a little less sparse. It isn't the best track in the world but neither is it the worst. Oh, and I've finally agreed with Ant Davidson on something - he was saying how the final corner in Bahrain sets it up nicely for overtaking and then went into a s...

My opinion on the tyres is similar to what Croft/Brundle discussed on sky earlier in the race. I don't mind seeing tyres that wear out & force pit stops & strategy (Although I don't really mind super durable tyres either), But I think what we have now is too much. I'd prefer to see tyres whi...

Unsurprisingly Lotus are not happy about the tyre changes: http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/107453 Im actually kind of split on this as while I agree that changing things Mid-season isn’t good & that perhaps it isn’t fair on the 2 teams that got the tyres right, However on the other s...
