The cars aren't lifting off when they spin backwards. Not sure where everyone is getting that.

It's only when they impact the wall.

This is epic clusterfuck. Imagine if this happened during the 100th edition? But that's the price for doing ZERO oval testing before Indy and demanding record speeds. The amateur hour at it's finest.

I wonder if there's just too much extra surface area with all the bodywork on modern Indycars. Look at the 1996 cars when the speed records were set: they were extremely clean and trim. And the only car that got off the ground that year was due to riding up the back of another (Zampedri at the finis...

I really hate for the safety of all, and the health of the Indycar series. I can pretty much guarantee that Hinch's crash would've been a *much* worse result even 20 years ago, in a world with no SAFER barriers etc. The safety improvements are good news, but it seems like there is more panic than n...

Jeez. We complain when drivers don't show their emotions and call them robotic. Yet when a driver does want we ask for, he's called whiny, sulky and a bitch.[/TBKLogic] Please keep it up, it's hilarious. Acting like a stupid kid is not showing your emotions. If he's angry and frustrated you show th...

Good post. There are times where clearly the risk is unnecessary and something has to be done about it - that was Vegas. I don't think the same can be said about yesterday. The drivers did have room yesterday to move their cars around and avoid bad situations, the fact that most of them chose not to...

Random fact: Senna has scored 80 podiums and has scored his 80th podium in his 158th GP.
Hamilton can score his 80th podium today, in his 158th GP.

Using the Ricciardo example, if this is a clear case of cheating then were Mercedes advised or warned by the stewards through the race? What notification was received by Pirelli? What tolerance is there built in to the 19.5 PSI minimum and were Mercedes outside it?

If Rosberg holds his ground and they make contact, who would be considered at fault (or is it just based on who you're a fan of)?

If he did that, it would've meant he is a racing driver of equal caliber to Hamilton. Instead, he's his bitch.

It's only when British drivers in dominant cars who have completely broken their teammates does this forum say the world championship is unworthy. When Germans do it, it's completely fine  Lewis can only beat what's put in front of him in any given year. He worked on his one weakness from 2014,...

Lewis Hamilton has the best raw pace of anyone on the grid, Vettel included. Those of you saying that Rosberg would have just walked the championships had Lewis not been there are completely losing sight of the effect that having the fastest guy in the sport across the garage from him has done for h...

I wonder if anyone was passing the same sort of judgement on Jackie Stewart or Niki Lauda when they won their championships. Each of Stewart's championships wouldn't have been so definitive if he didn't have the best car in the field on both pace and reliability, and in his Tyrell years Cevert was a...
