Also, can any mod or the op, change the thread's title? I mean, we're almost halfway through the season. We got over it. It annoys me!

If they don't apply the same substance abuse rule they use with the drivers, then there's something very wrong with NASCAR.

Apart from all the wrongs they have already.

More fuel to the fire for the possible Buenos Aires / Argentina race proposal Is this plan a street circuit? There's obviously the old GP circuit. Probably not changed a lot since the 1990s, would need upgrades. edit: Turismo Carretera still uses the old long configuration, in these death trap cars...

As a Kimi fan, I’m happy to see him continue in F1. Also a Sauber fan, so there’s my underdog for next year. But what I like the most, is the fact that there are still drivers willing to race into their 40s, whatever their pace is. I like to see experienced drivers still having the urge to race, and...

And to think that many of us thought that a deal with this obscure Versus channel, would be another nail in IndyCar's coffin.

I guess I’m out of touch, then. Still, to me, celebrities should transcend genre or type of art or whatever. Being household names. I mean…I don’t know any song by Justin Timberlake, I haven’t watch any of his movies, but I know very well who he is. He’s a celebrity. Fuck it, I still listen to Deep ...

Another example that the tracks aren't the issue in Formula 1.

If I were Liberty, I'd have done this: TV/Atmosphere: - Old graphics - 94-2002 TV intro - Mandatory air horns for the spectators - Murray Walker/Martin Brundle in the english feed, with James Allen in the pitlane. John Watson and Ben Edwards to carry out FPs and Qualifying. And, knowing that the 100...

Also, if I was IndyCar, I'd have just mandate road course wings and rain tyres, for this last row shootout.

"Hinchcliffe qualifies with a speed of 115.323 mph"

Is that the highest ever minimum speed to qualify ever?

Good question

Looked it up, yesterday. Buddy Lazier qualified with a 227.9 in 2014.

There was not bumping that year, though. This year's could be the highest speed required to get into the field. 227.2 on saturday, 227.3 on sunday.

I don't get how is that a problem. We need to look at this from a sporting point of view. If they can lap within 107% of the fastest car, then let them have it. They can still have 20-22 full time entrants, but extend to 24 or 26 grid slots, and have a 1 hour pre-qualifying on Thrusday. No need for ...

I had no idea that Jimmie Johnson, considering he may not race a Cup event in Fontana again, has a perfect record of completed laps vs possible laps at that track. 5906 laps, from 2002 to 2020. 26 starts, 18 wins.

Now that's quite an statistic.
