Hello, I've always been fascinated by F1's onboard camera's, the various angles, the different sounds and performance / behaviour of cars, the rare shots from backmarker teams, the different liveries and shapes of the cars seen from incar. Over the last 10 years I have assembled an entire library of...

Back in the awesome days of CART in the late 90's, during the 98-01 GP's of Houston, I noticed lots more cars seemed to carry onboard camera pods for that one race only (usually 6 cars carried a camera on the roll hoop with the others camera-less), and some of them on closer inspection were just a b...

Whilst on the subject of "annoying camera angles", never really liked the "Ass-cam" (forward looking cam mounted behind riders seat)used in motorbike racing, nothing more distracting from the action than a chaps derriere bouncing up and down on your tv screen :-/

I've said it before and I'll say it again, far too many Indycar race results decided by who got lucky with full course yellows and the strategy element, VSC would see more representative results and less case's of some dawdler who's been cruising around at the back all day off the pace, pitting out ...

You could tell which track F1 was at just by the trackside advertising. Mild Seven & Fuji Tv - got to be Suzuka, Players - Montreal, Qantas - Australia. Agip Imola or Monza (Italy).

These days its just, Rolex, Pirelli, Rolex, Pirelli

Remember.....local host broadcasters, the hazy NTSC pictures from Japan + N & S. American races, the varying quality of coverage from said broadcasters, Italian tv focussed solely on Ferrari, Japan on any Japanese back markers etc

Suppose anyone who doesn't like the outcome of the championship can implement the current world politics trend and demand a re-run of the race until they get the result they want :-p

I was watching some more of the TV replays a few minutes ago and just noticed that Helio hit some sort of a bump in the pavement as he was passing under Dixon. His whole car hopped off the ground and probably covered 50-60 feet (albeit very low). Crazy that he hung onto it (and the car was still go...

Not condoning tax avoidance at all but I can't help but feel this mass coverage by the media is a convenient excuse to not cover other more "pressing" issues, National economies, the continuing devastating effect from the Fukishima Nuclear reactor disaster etc etc. Yes its a major story bu...

Damon was always a reserved chap when he was racing (people often said he was too nice to be a racing driver), always careful with what he said so its refreshing that he no longer holds back from telling it like it is.
