You couldn't pay me to go out there, and they're not paying him to go out there either, yet he did :8:

That guy's got some serious stones. Something tells me he'll have a beer bought for him tonight.

Has the Whincup/Dumbrell car led every lap? It seems like it.

Pye led for a while, and I think maybe McLaughlin was in the lead for a little while. But yeah, Whincup/Dumbrell have led for most of the race, and they have seemed to be in a bit of a class of their own this race.

Interesting. I can't help but wonder if they're going too hard too quickly.

If you are watching the VLC stream then you are seeing a lot more on track footage than the people watching the free to air coverage.

I'm watching the EU-mirror of the VLC stream, is that different?

Seems to be

Also, I normally watch this race on a torrent, pausing and taking note of the positions every 16 laps (or after restarts). So I don't really miss this way of making broadcast. Any driver I see on screen I can tell that he's doing and where is he heading.

This was from the 2012 race:

Edit: This one I used the caution flags to mark when I should re-do the scoring.

This is running a lot like a Bathurst race from 25-30 years ago.

While we're complaining about the broadcast I would like to complain about Channel 10 currently being incapable of letting the race go for more then like 3 laps without showing any ads. I think I'm going to go and see if the stream is starting to work properly again.

That was really bad! Like about 90 seconds of coverage then ads. I've got the stream running next to the TV.

From that scoring table, I see Whincup just set a new race lap record. 2:07.090. The previous was 2:07.122 from himself last year.

I can only hope they're stacking the ads now, US style so when things spice up later on they have to take fewer breaks.

We can only hope.

Are you getting side by side coverage on your feed?

Kind of surprised no one's put it in the wall in 3 hours of racing

Rick Kelly is not in a positive mood now after that pit stop.

It's going to be tough at the end with the lead drivers triple-stinting.

And now Owen has had a narrow escape on the top. Someone has to bin it pretty soon.

It's one of those inevitabilities isn't it? A tired driver and lapse of concentration for just a moment...
