Haven't watched any practice so far...how does the racing look? Pack-ish or the way we've seen them at Texas the last few years?

I only saw cars near each other for a little bit. It looked like they were somewhere in between. The tires look to be wearing so it will probably tend toward the latter.

How do you guys rate Jack Hawksworth? I'm a little biased as he's from my home town, you here good opinions of him from A.J. Foyt etc but results seem to be scarce (more down to bad luck IMHO), and he certainly struggles on ovals.

Hawksworth is better than his results suggest. Neither he or Sato are really doing much with the Foyt machinery.

He showed very well with Herta. Moving to Foyt just hasn't worked for him.

This. Leading the early stages of the first Indy GP outright and not thanks to strategy is a highlight for me.

Green track, cooler air... Tire wear may not be as much of a premium as it would've been earlier. Could be tighter racing as a result.

Definitely but I guess for Indycar its not that cost effective. How often do they need to dry an oval?

Still delayed. Maybe 11PM EST. Weepers are the problem.

just do it like they've done in Loudon years ago, release the cars, start your engines
