And your worst comes here. Give 'em a bash and tell us why they deserve it.

I'll pick Ricciardo for his rookie mistake, Lotus because of their financial issues, technical issues and Lopez giving shit about Räikkönen's departure. Mercedes is picked because their poor strategy with both cars, they should have done like everyone else and pit the other car when SC hit the track.

The stewards, for penalising racing again.

if you mean the penalty of Hulkenberg, then yes.

if you mean the reprimand, which happened to cause a grid penalty because it was the third one, then no.

Yes, I mean Hulkenberg. I couldn't care less about the Webber penalty.

Ricciardo, if he doesn't improve himself for next races will be another case of "big contract syndrome"

Voted for Ricciardo - soft crash all on his own, di Resta because his accident cost them some points looking at how Sutil finished and the McLarens went backwards, di Resta was further up the road than Sutil so this cost him. Mercedes strategy looked like they cost themselves and had the drivers nearly tripping over one another at the end - not really a farce but something I remember and had a vote to spare.

Hulk penalty also lame but FIA not an option. Reprimands for Alonso and Webber correct given how they went about the taxi ride but Hulk penalty was another case of Grosjean in Hungary ...

What's that actually got to do with the racing? Kimi had an unbelievable race, Grosjean was going strong before his car gave up on him.

Kimi only broke his back because mechanics left the seat loose. Grosjean's DNF was technical issue. Makes one think that maybe the financial issues caused mechanics to be sloppy. Also, Lopez is being a C U Next Tuesday over Kimi's departure, if you know what I mean. Someone voted McLaren, probably because their pace is awful. My justifying is not that far off from that.

Vettel is only winning so much because of Red Bull, he may be very good, but not so much.

I voted McLaren, due to them dropping like a rock after that restart.

A loose seat belt isn't caused by money issues. I don't agree with your assessment there NVirkkula. And how loose was loose? We may only be talking about 1/2 inch movement here and if the belts were loose enough to cause concern, let alone injury to Kimi, then why didn't he immediately pull into the pits?

As for Lopez' attitude to Kimi's departure, I'm not sure what you're referring to.

My point with loose seat and Grosjean's retirement is that all this happens just when team is not able to pay wages to engineers and mechanics. On Friday MTV3 said that over 20 Lotus engineers have left job appliances to other teams. The team is also abandoning their upgrades one by one, passive-DRS being the latest. Financial issues reflects on everything.

And Lopez? One quote sums it up, and it's not the only one from the past week. He didn't say anything positive about Räikkönen's podium, but this instead.
Quote:
“I thought Kimi did not return to Formula 1 for the money, but it is clear that the opposite is actually true,” Lopez told Auto Hebdo.

Thanks NVirkkula, I hadn't seen that quote from Lopez. That's the kind of thing I'd have expected from Boullier. As for the finance side, I don't believe Lotus are being sloppy and calling them that suggests the mechanics (certainly in the case of Kimi's belts) aren't caring about their work. Money will halt developments but I don't believe for a second that it contributed to Kimi's back issues nor Grosjean's retirement. Lotus is in a very different situation to HRT last season.

Why would the team sabotage Grosjean?

I could understand why someone might think that they want to sabotage Raikkonen - as if he's still on the same bonus strategy, the podium cost Lotus $750,000 - but even so, the podium gets sponsorship awareness etc. But Grosjean? All it does is create more work for the mechanics and scuppers Grosjean's chances.

I think the problem is that people expect Lotus to be able to fight for the championship, which compared to Ferrari, McLaren, Mercedes and Red Bull, is a very difficult proposition. They've done it before, but in different circumstances. To be in P4 is very good.

Did you watch the same race as me? The Red Bull is a quick car at this stage of the season, but during this race Vettel got performance out of it that showed what he brings to the table, which is a top calibre driver the same as any of the others we consider the best around at the moment - without question.
