I think you'll find Christian Fittipaldi racing a Formula Truck tops it all, squire.

Massa's not been offered a new contract because Ferrari are trying to get Raikkonen to partner Alonso at Ferrari.

I cannot see Raikonen do that honestly. But smart move not offering Massa a new contract. Pretty much the rest of the gird would be an improvement. Including Martin Brundle and David Coulthard......

I think the reason Ferrari is waiting is to see whether the shit hits the fan at Force India in terms of finances. If it does, they can nab Hulkenberg on the cheap. That's one theory.

But I was told by a very good source that Ferrari offered Perez the seat in early September. But for whatever reason, that fell through... so I still think Massa is staying before Vettel arrives in 2014.

If they want to sort the sound out, get proper sounds on TV first!

F1 cars, Caterham especially for some unfathomable reason, are still loud!

I'm pretty fed up with the whole whining about the 2014 engines.....

in the end, who gives a flying fuck about the engine if the racing is great?

If we go back to 3.5L V12's and the races are one big parade no-one would be like "Hey at least we have awesome sounding V12's".
And if in 2014 the racing is great only idiots will be like "OMG!!!1111oneoneoneone the enjins souns sux0rs 4ss0s!!!!11111oneoneone"

Amen to that.

I will just wait to hear V6 sounds, and if it's not great, I will still appreciate racing.

I wonder what Alonso has drunk to even consider to accept Kimi as his teammate.

You don't know that everytime Mr. Bean had been invited by McLaren for the race, it was because he signed to be the third driver.

Well, I'd hire him as team principal.

Couldn't do a worse job than the current incumbent.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Knowing how meticulous (although quirky) Mr Bean is, I'd argue he'd do a much better job than Whitmarsh...

In other news, I've just seen a pig flying past window and greet me good day.

Why in their right minds would a team hire someone they paid squillions of dollars to, then sacked him before his contract had even ended, to race for them in 2013, when after his comeback his pace has been negligible at best to his rookie team mate?

You've got rocks in your head if you think they'll hire Kimi in 2013.

Even if god forbid your utterly ridiculous Kimi fanboy dream comes true he will be utterly annihilated and humiliated by Alonso, only probably do a slightly better job than what Massa is doing now. Alonso is in career best form. Kimi is 50-50 at best with his French lunatic team mate. You really want to see Kimi have his hind spanked in 2013 by Alonso and probably be replaced by Vettel (as is expected by the pundits who know?). Well enjoy your fantasy.

I thought Schumacher fanboys were the worst.

Who's saying that Kimi even wants to go back to Ferrari or "Kimi fanboys" would even want to see him back there? I agree with you saying it's nonesense rumour, but Kimi has been constantly better than Grosjean, you can't even compare the two. The biggest problem is that Boullier is giving more room for his driver with Kimi's expense. That has cost Kimi few good positions so far. At Bahrain and Singapore Grosjean was holding up Räikkönen for few more laps than what Massa would have hold Alonso. Also, it has been Kimi who's been testing all the upgrades during most of the Fridays, leaving him less time work out with his setup.

Watching this video from 2005 again... the content might be discussible, but it brings up so many memories... to me, at least.
Montoya, Raikkonen, Alonso, Schumacher, great characters.
Maybe we didn't have the best races all day, but this engines, drivers, teams and fucking great-looking cars let me dream a bit.

I guess that we are now watching an F1 season that people will still remember in 30 years.
The last season of Schumacher, Alonso dominating the grid with a pretty bad car, and there also 5 world champions and great battles between them.
But my memory from the past is better. Hearing this engines screaming makes me dreaming.
You know, I can't tell about Prost, Senna or Mansell because I was born in 94, but I hope that one day I will be able to tell my grandsons that I have witnessed one of the greatest F1 seasons ever? :p

I had a similar feeling after watching a review of the 2001 Monaco GP where the field was so scattered apart that Coulthard could finish 6th after starting last and staying behind Bernoldi for like half the GP. Impossible nowadays! The field is bunched up in 1.5 seconds and there are 4-5 teams that can battle for the podium at any given race.

I'll be honest, we've gone through so much boring crap in the last couple decades that I still have a hard time wrapping my mind about what F1 has become.

I think Paul Di Resta is a reasonable option for Ferrari. Though being overshadowed by a bad Force India year, he seems to be competent enough for a Ferrari seat, developping the car, helping the lead driver or even seeking a possible leadership into the team.
