As boring as Monza?

Lesmos, Ascari, and Parabolica are all good corners.

Never happening. The track going towards the sea like that? Seriously?

Bit of a dig from Dieter Rencken on our old friend Joe Saward & David Tremayne

Quote:
In fact, with a view to polishing its image, Caterham recently took the (ethically questionable) step of appointing two FIA-accredited journalists to the board, ostensibly as consultants.

"They should both fall within the RRA," one team boss told this column immediately after the news broke on an automotive website – and, saliently, NOT announced by Caterham or said scribes – "as they are clearly in the paddock on Caterham business".

As boring as most of your posts.

But the track looks fantasically different to anything we've ever seen before.

Prominent track owner Bruton Smith wants to build an exact replica of the Nordschleife near Las Vegas (Audio file)

OK, but WHY is Bruton wanting to build this? "Just because," he said. "I enjoy building things."

Why not do it the old-fashioned way?

Transport the entire original piece by piece and rebuild it.

Bribing Ferrari with a share in the sport.

Bribing Red Bull with a $35 million sweetner.

Clever. Very clever. Firmly puts the two FOTA renegades back in FOM's camp.

Why not build a new track in the old fashion. It's not that Nordshleife is great because its corners are all so great you have to copy all of them (they are good and challenging nonetheless). But because it's the only circuit left in its original form.

it is great because it goes up and down between the woods. It will look a bit sad in the desert

I kind of miss when drivers were put into group photo more randomly, not all team-mates together. See 1995.
