Dunno why, but I lol'd at this sentence..

Because it's still IndyCars fault. 2 trucks, not 1, were on the track. There was clearly a communications error.

Probably because it's actually a near hit. A collision is a near miss. Whoever came up with that phrase in the first place is stupid.

There is a heavy rumor moving around the IndyCar community right now that GoDaddy has a clause in their contract with Andretti Autosport. Aparently it is in their contract with Andretti Autosport that if they do not find someone "worthy" of the ride they will move over to Marco as the major secondary behind RC Cola and not be a full season primary sponsor. Rumor has it that Andretti Autosport at first suggested Mike Conway but GoDaddy does not consider Conway a "big" enough name for them. GoDaddy is rumored to be pushing for a female to take over for Danica.

I would also look for many teams to start announcing their engine packages before Vegas.

Yeah, hope for Pippa or Simona! Pippa is very presented to their fans with twitter.

simona is doing pretty decent even with her horrible luck and low funding this year. just imagine if she wasnt in an 8 year old car and could spend the money on new equipment.

Radiation levels and earthquakes don't kill her. It's the humiliation she'll get next year.

Maybe she'll take the advice of a certain crew chief next year:

Hit the pace car.

I remember the name from F3 many many years ago. Checked out wikipedia and apparently he won Formula Nippon last year. Can't be too bad. Well, I suppose he can when you see some of the guys who have won races in Nippon...

Yeah, I last watched de Oliveira when he was in the German F3 series (the last two seasons before F3 Euroseries was formed). He was kinda Top 10 back then but never cracked the big leagues. The lack of depth in International F3000 forced him to Japan where he competes since many years now. Obviously Conquest picked him up because of the Motegi road-course experience.
