Really bummed Alan didn't get in. Really bummed

I liked Alan and his story is amazing... but I think others deserve to be in before Alan. Yeah he won the Championship in 1992 but he only had 5 career wins.

Jeff Gordon is replacing Larry Mac in the FOX booth next season.

DW will die of old age before they replace him, even then they may not replace him.

DW isn't bad, he's just misused. He should be with Chris Meyers rather then Michael. He would be so much better there, then in the play-by-play booth.

Larry Mac is one of the best. Surprised by this.

Mikey will take his place soon enough.

FOX has made quite a few questionable decisions as of late.

From the little bit of Xfinity coverage I've seen, I think Jeff will be great in the booth as long as they let him speak his mind. I just really don't like the fact that he comes at the expense of Larry Mac.

Say what you will about FOX's coverage, but the booth has stayed the same since 2001. 14 years. It's a familiar sounding bunch. Some of my favorite commentator combos have more to do with them being a familiar old voice than what they actually say. I thought Jeff did a good job in the booth but this will take some getting used to.

The first three years were the best for the Fox team, and then the booth team started sucking NASCAR boner after they got reprimanded by Mike Helton for calling NASCAR out on the horrible jumping the restart penalty they issued to Brian Vickers at the Texas Busch race in 2003. (The story behind this incident is in either DW's or Larry Mac's book, can't remember which)

Now it seems as if the three of them can't get enough of Brian France's schlong and fight over whose turn it is next. Mike Joy week after week says it's the best racing on the planet, and I just can't believe that a guy who has covered all forms of racing in the past including IMSA, F1 and IRL actually believes the bullshit stemming from his mouth every Sunday.

I think he even said during the all star race last weekend, to be sure to tune into the 600 because with a day full of racing, the best one will be the final one. Wrong Mike, it will be the worst one.

On a similar note: I recall last week in a practice session, Joy tried to bring up the missing Turn 2 grandstands at Charlotte. DW seemed to jump in on cue with something unrelated, as if NASCAR was in his ear telling him to change the subject, and it was never brought up again.

As if anyone isn't going to notice a huge 40,000-seat structure completely missing.

And that's why NASCAR is in the mess it's in. Anything negative about the 'show' is quickly stamped out, they have to praise absolutely everything from the shite racing to Danica's awesome 20th place finish.

I really wish some big TV show or magazine would do a special on how shitty NASCAR has become, open some eyes, and piss off the dipshits up top.
