Great memories from last year, having been there to witness Max Verstappen taking his first win.

Unfortunately, I doubt the race will be equally interesting this year. While I like the track (it's predates tilkedromes), overtaking may be just as difficult as in Sochi. Hopefully Ferrari & Mercedes are very close to each other, and that Red Bull finds extra speed for the weekend.

The way too hard tires may create some chaos if they struggle to heat it up enough.

Never been a fan of this track, its just a bunch of long constant radius corners and a stupid chicane to ruin the flow. Its always been good for bikes, not so for cars.

Motorland Aragon would put on a better show imo

Funny statistic on the F1 website: we have had 10 different winners in the past 10 years on this track. 11 in 11 years if Bottas wins.

Or anyone else who hasn't won there in the last 10 years.

Perez please

It would require a lot of crashing and retiring, but please. They were mere inches from doing a "Ping-Pong" at the start in Russia, so I know they can do it!

looks like they set a huge DRS zone, they are desperate to make this work, I guess they should open it before the final corner

Yes, but who else has a chance. Bottas actually has the right car to do it.

I guess people on Reddit were getting too excited about Sunday being listed as having heavy rain before it became close enough to the weekend for the detailed reports letting us know that said rain is going to happen AFTER the race

El Sigh :(

the track owners may have had an agreement with the devil after that 1996 race to never rain anymore on race days

but the devil itself proposed sprinklers, dunno why can't they do that at least there as is the main testing venue
