K-Mag has now been confirmed at Haas. Two seats left.

2 x Sauber seats and 2 x Manor seats left.

Sauber highly likely to keep both current drivers although Nasr is having to deal with a sponsor situation and Manor likely to keep Werhlein. Manor has four drivers being considered for its car, Werhlein, Haryanto, Nasr and Gutierrez.

Jordan King has also been mentioned for Manor.

Good point, I forgot about him. I doubt we won't see King in F1 within the next couple of years.

AMuS is reporting that if Manor fail to finish 10th in the WCC, which is now almost certain after the GP today, then they will likely close down and Wehrlein will be in contention for the 2nd Sauber seat.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

That would suck. Manor has been very competent this year, far from those years as Virgin Racing. FIA needs to open the entry to F1 again.

Btw. maybe it's a good thing the testing will take place at Barcelona instead of Sakhir, as they are more likely to be able to test Pirelli wet tyres in Spain.

I've never understood why only the 10 first teams get paid anyway. It's ridiculous and purposely fucking over the ones more in need. Do they only want 10 teams on the grid?

Because Bernie felt that if all teams would get paid the team in last would just slack off and make up the numbers like Minardi used to do.

Well it's not like they intentionally come last. But someone has to be last and I agree with coldtyre that it's ridiculous to purposely fuck them over.

I think the sadder part is that it seems like 70% of all series (big & small) are doing similar things that lowers the car counts & hurts smaller teams.

it is about time for F1 to make one championship for constructors and another one for independent teams that run outdated cars, all in the track at the same time

Looks like the season review will be released on December 19.
Not that I would care. If there's unseen footage, it will posted for sure.

I really loved the late 90's format of season reviews, which was more like documentary. Each driver and team was well introduced and there was aftermath interviews and news stories between the races. You got more comprehensive picture of the state of the sport, especially if you hadn't born yet or didn't follow F1 back then. I'd like to have 50% race highlight, 25% of showing Friday and Saturday action and 25% of interviews, news, and featurettes.

Nowadays it's like watching FOM highlights but without the music.

Title: "Luck DOES come into it!" :p

It hasn't been the same since Bernie held back the best footage for the F1 Digital channel, which meant the review VHS (lol) had loads of unseen angles and was basically like a whole new production

Now it's just going to be exactly the same as what we saw on TV, with occasional narration of a pole lap from a driver.
Over 2 Discs? C'monnnnnnn!

it'll be fucking funny if Hamilton wins the championship

but is better for Rosberg to win, as the most wins without a title could return to Stirling Moss

Only reason for Hamilton to win the WC is a mechanic failure for Rosberg. Rosberg will be an easy 3rd. At least.

You know what'll be funnier? Rosberg taken out by Max, who continues. Lewis cruises round, untouchable, only to break down 10 laps from home.

Rosberg champion.
Lewis punches Toto, who has to let it slide because he can't exactly dump Lewis.
Verstappen wins the race and DotD.

that could happen, but remember the race is in Abu Dhabi, no action allowed on that track

In fairness, that much craziness would elevate it to a possible 4/10. Yeah, I am being unrealistic I guess.

Except 2010 when we nearly killed Micheal Schumacher on the first lap

And 2012 which was surprisingly good. I guess every racetrack gets one, right Spiderman?

Which will be true, FOM's advanced computer graphics can move on from simulating giant versions of title protagonists to projecting as many happy crowd members as race tracks with no attendance requests.

For a high price of course ;)
