I was thinking of a possible throwback Kenseth could run with this being Joe Gibbs' 25th Anniversary but I can't say I expected them to run a Tide scheme. The car looks good though.

Earl should have given the 20 the Home Depot throwback scheme and run something like this:

But anyway, I love how this throwback idea is such a huge success. The number of classic schemes will be even higher next year.

I was hoping Derrike Cope would run this scheme since it was by far his most famous.

so far in the count of throwback/"retro-looking" paint schemes for Darlington is 29 in Cup and 6 in Xfinity. At least 1 to 2 more hasn't been announced yet for Cup (Roush had some merch leaked on NASCAR's store for Biffle, and I remember seeing a tweet about a announcement coming for the #5 Hendrick car).

Only 1 car is known to not be running a throwback scheme in Cup (#44 Petty, as Twisted Tea has been running a fan collage paint scheme promotion since the start of the year for Darlington)

The #39 car looks cool even though it's a Ford Quality Care scheme on a Chevrolet. There is a connection between Ryan Sieg and that car. His crew chief, Mike Ford was a member of Dale Jarrett's team when they won the championship in 1999.
