I raced a couple of years ago in the Mazda MX5 Series, different from the one Chapman did. When I ran out of money I said to the series organisers (BRSCC) about doing the safety car and you get put on a list and wait for a call. Like I said I have done some crap meets, Diesel Ford Galaxy's etc but you take the crap jobs and then every now and then you'll get a proper call up. I did the Ferrari Racing Days last year in a 458 Italia which was mental. Even being fed in the Ferrari Hospitality was an amazing experience. I've only done one this year which was the Mazda's I used to race in. I think it was an auto Peugeot 308 so like I said, rough with the smooth

Bit of a boring main race for me, the FCY screwed us over and I thought we were going to get a shout. The support races were pretty well behaved as well which is a shame. I got one call in the Formula Renault NEC race. It didnt stop me almost binning the Huracan on cold tyres, twice in one lap, though....

Do you often get "fuck this, full throttle!" feeling especially when driving cars like that?

Definitely think there should've been a sc in the main race with all that debris

Made me wince to see marshals on a race track with race cars. All it'd take was one lapse in concentration or mechanical failure and you have a catastrophe on your hands.

But hey what's the safety of volunteer marshals when it comes to the purity of a race eh
