Haha so we could be faced with a situation where none of the drivers they want will race, and those that do will have no experience of the worst car on the grid, and probably be mediocre talent at best.....this doesn't have disaster written all over it does it?

Surprised JV hasn't thrown his hat in the ring...you know, to show these youngsters what real drivers are like.

It's a shame Sky can't bid for it to give Martin Brundle a go so he can live commentate the race for us...from inside the car!

Imagine him doing the grid walk then strapping into the car :p

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

His decision not to do a second race was down to them wanting him to lose a practice session. I wonder if his hesitance this time is because they want to do the same again, but with Powell?

They gave FP1 at Monza to Mehri. Lotterer wasn't happy about racing with only two-thirds the practice everyone else had.

If Barrichello gets in at Caterham, this will have gone from being a silly season to a pathetic season.

As fun as most of this is, it is largely irrelevant as all the staff were sacked yesterday and are assumedly being asked to work in Abu Dhabi for the paddock exposure only. The plan is clearly to turn up, finish 10th in the Constructors Championship by dint of Marussia being excluded, pocket the money that that is worth and then use it to pay creditors whilst the rest of the assets are liquidated.

Source, though? If they have been sacked, how on earth could they be expected to turn up in Abu Dhabi?
