Vettel has never been something special to me, just another Button, who just happens to have a missile of a car for more than 1 year. So he just said that it was the car what made him so fast in those championship years, always knew.

Bernie dying doesn't change the fact that FOM are exploiting the entire sport for massive financial gain.

Based on that & other images & stuff i've seen I think the track looks interesting. It looks pretty fast & flowing for the most part & even some of the slower more fiddly bit towards the end looks like it will be quite technical & challenging.

Looks way better than Valencia (Which it keep been compared to) & politics aside I'm looking forward to seeing cars on track round it & getting to go round it myself in the Sim-world.

Russia doesn't like sharing nationalism

They'll put all russian flags for the race and their national anthem will be played on loop during the whole race.

They might do flags of the nations that host races, or of the drivers. But as said above, probably all Russian flags

That track design, with curbs delimiting the track a couple meters from walls, looks like fucking shit.

I concede runoff on exit for safety reasons, but let walls be the track limit on the outside for braking, and on the inside for apex. It makes it more spectacular on TV, and more challenging for drivers.

My God I'm not looking forward to this Russian GP. At all. And especially not merely one week after seeing the cars around Suzuka. The race might be a 10/10 action, but it will still look and feel like shit. Yes, I'm feeling diplomatic and level-headed this morning.

i think it looks fantastic! the job they did has been immense and spectacular (given half a year ago there were just the olympic facilities at the time).
i can only hope that all flags will be russian, with the odd CCCP flag among them.

i look forward to it massively. easily one of my most anticipated moments of the year.

Tyfoon incoming

Lotus technical director doubts FIA will ban telemetry.

Quote:
Chester says Lotus is likely to adopt the larger LCD steering wheel display next season, which is already being used by the majority of the grid, to make up for the information drivers are losing through the radio restrictions.

So nothing will change lol, instead of hearing it, we'll never know the team informed the driver.

I don't believe that about the tyfoon. Sometimes the weather is tricky on Friday and Saturday, but come Sunday it is always dry. This year will be no exception.

According to a very good friend of mine, who lives in Japan, there's currently a 40% chance of rain for Sunday, but still very early to predict anything. By the way, the Japanese GP thread will be oppened soon, I already prepared a lot of stuff and I'm just finishing it to post. I hope you guys will like it.

He'll never be informed*, the steering wheel can only display info collected directly from the car, not messages from the pitwall.

*unless they manage to subtly code messages into normal conversations which isn't that hard

I'm concerned that you're channelling your inner J.Morelli. Please calm down my friend. Considering your home country and the circuit in your back yard, your obsession with a Valencia / Abu Dhabi / Caesars Palace (reference to a car park...) wannabe hosted by a homophobic and dictatorial regime is utterly flummoxing.

Q:
Can someone tell me what was Hamiltons time on his last lap in Q3 in Monza. I know he achieved 1.24.109 on his first flying lap.
But i want to know what was the time on his last attempt. I know he didnt improve his first run.
I cant find anywhere this info, and i dont want to "get" the QLF session just to..
