Still have to wait for Caterham to announce their lineup.

It might mean nothing, but Max Chilton has removed 'Marussia driver' from his Twitter biog.

To fill in the other half of this equation, Frijns has supposedly come into some money.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Source?

Kobayashi seems to be pointing towards something being announced this week. So perhaps Caterham...

Hence the 'supposedly'

Kobayashi to Caterham, Giedo to Marussia?

Ah.

I find it odd that he'd be able to find enough money to grab a Marussia seat but not be able to get a full time GP2 ride.

Unless Giedo's father-in-law has another daughter?

I guess F1 attracts bigger sponsors, Dutch sponsors are weird as fuck. He should watch out with some Dutch sponsors though. Doornbos sugardaddy is now suing him because he said all the sponsor money was an investment, and now he wants it back (hence you don't hear a lot about him anymore, except commentating F1).

He has two other daughters.

But again, Frijns is just speculation.

Whatever happens, it will be interesting to see exactly who has managed to out-fund BACS, assuming he has been given the boot.

Well, got to bear in mind that Daddy Chilton and Aon are no longer working together (can't remember the exact nature of it). Perhaps it's a case of Max losing backing rather than someone else finding it

Yes Chilton Sr has started a new venture but apparently motorsport sponsorship will come from that too.

It's nice that wealthy businessmen and new venture's are supporting motorsport, too bad they have to support drivers like Max Chilton then.

would be a shame to see Max go. Did a solid job in 2013 and finds himself among the all time greats in the record books.

His job in 2013 was about as solid as the diarrhea I had yesterday

We are getting a lot of reports from Swedish- and social media about Marcus Ericsson signing for Caterham. 20+ years since we had a driver on the grid.

Kobayashi/Ericsson looks like the most likely combination.
