Don't think this has been answered, but they've mandated the higher grille on Nationwide cars as they did Sprint cars to cut down on tandems.

There seems to be a pattern here. Restart, JGR cars all over the front, it stretches out, other cars begin to come back, they turn into a big wodge and then someone does something silly.
