Wouldn't mind losing Texas and Sonoma if it meant Randy could tell Smith to piss off.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Bruton has a point. imo, the 2012 cars look and sound horrible. Its your gonna have a turbo, bring back the Champ Car sound! Personally, not a big fan of the DW12 looks. Much preferred the old car, but thats just me.

The racing has been excellent though :)

Your opinion is backwards world on everything in motorsport. What's new?

To be fair, even he knows that racing has been good.

He's right though.

Strike that down in the record books, cos I'll probably never agree with anything Simon says again, but those cars do look and sound rubbish, the old one was prettier (and with that being moderately ugly, you can probably understand that I'm being generous by saying the DW12 looks rubbish).

The sport of auto racing will benefit once Bruton Smith's involvement with the sport ceases. (I do apologize if that does sound a little callous and disgusting)

As much as the cars may look and sound like crap, they are producing quality racing and that is what the series needed tbh. Slowly reel in the crowds again with good competition and then in time perhaps modify the cars if necessary. It would be completely absurd and a b-line to bankruptcy if they decided to make another big change with the series.

What annoys me with a spec series (which this has become) is there is NO EXCUSE for ugly looking or sounding cars. Fit a nice exhaust and it'll sound better, and nobody will have an advantage or disadvantage. Similarly, I'm sure you can provide good racing without LOLtastic cars.

Good racing is the hard bit - now fix the easy stuff. Lower the silly sidepods and give them a nice exhaust, jod done. :)

It's not that the cars sounds rubbish, they're just not loud enough. Fix the exhaust, heck, add an amplifier there if there's no other way to make it louder, and give 'em higher Revs to really make them scream. Oh, and more boost of course.

The sidepods shouldn't be a problem next year. I hope we get 3rd manufacturer that's on the level with Honda and Chevy, that would keep the series healthy.

This season has been great so far, racing has been awesome. Let's just hope it stays that way. Also, it's a great thing that the final race is a 500-miler. That's a proper way to end the season, especially if the battle for the championship is still on. And hopefully between three drivers, so it doesn't end when one of them retires early in the race.

I think they look good, especially the Indy 500 configuration made them look awesome.

I like that people don't seem to realise these are also Dallaras.

I think they look stupid purely because they are completely unbalanced due to the massive sidepods.

I've grown used to them, but I can appreciate to the casual fan they look bloody weird

I like the new look cars a lot and appreciate something different from the typical dull open-wheel design, but to each their own etc. Always gotta have something to bitch about I guess.

The cars look awesome. F1 cars look like shit, but everyone has become used to that so now they think that's how openwheel cars should look like. Wide at the front and narrow at the back. That's completely wrong, Indycar got its car right with a sleek nose and a fat ass.

The sound could be louder, I didn't even need earplugs at Indy (which I usually always wear at a track)

That's probably an advantage, actually, for the street races etc.

Yeah, I do think the 1990s turbo noise and look was nicer, but that isn't coming back anytime soon no matter how much you wish. In the mean time, the racing has been good, so what's the big deal? Bruton can have the NASCAR 1.5 mile cookie cutter snoozefests if he wants.
