We sgoukd also get rid of aramco while were at it btw.

Problem is with tyre barriers there the car could bounce back onto the circuit. I guess TecPro would be the best solution, or a SAFER barrier.

So are we starting with the current running order? There should be a new start right?

Looking forward to this bit in the Netflix documentary

Dramatic music, stretched out, switching to ominous music. Feels like he was stuck for 90 seconds. They might even add a flatline tune in the scene.

And constant replays from all different angles

And possibly a few unseen angels as well. who knows

Thankfully, that's not how engineers and FIA act.

You recover the wreckage, analyse it, find out the reasons behind the failure, then make educated choices about how to mitigate it the best and only then include these into track layout guidelines.

Edit: ah wait I missed the joke, SAUDI ARMCO

There's been an unusually high number of big crashes this year by F1 standards... Kvyat at Silverstone, Leclerc at Monza, the pile up & Stroll's crash at Mugello, now this. Very strange

Surely a red flag within 30 seconds of the start means complete restart?

Why can't they just do it old school and give us a proper restart?

I don't think it's unusual, and it's a very worrying precedent. The same sort of thing was observed in 1993-94, and to a lesser extent in 1996-97. When the cars are perceived as safe but are starting to outgrow the tracks, it highlights the risks more. I think we have been at this point for some time with this breed of car.

No need, this way Bottas isn't there to protect Lewis.

He exited the car between the armco and monocoque. Not a lot of room to move with the Halo as well. I'm impressed how he maneuvered out of there after a crash like that and the flames as well.

Im confused as to how Bottas is restarting 4th. Albon was way up the road and Ricciardo was clearly infront entering T4

I can’t believe what happened. And like Caspar, I’m struggling to understand how he extricated himself. So relieved that he seems to have escaped serious injury.

Watching that replay, there was no reason for Stroll to have gone right across the track like that.
