Miami race isn't happening next year...just confirmed. I'm betting it won't happen for quite a while, if at all.

This is shaping up to be the juiciest silly season in years...

Raikkonen appears to be a lock at Ferrari for another year with Marchionne on sick leave?
Stroll to FI alongside Perez?
Will Alonso quit and McLaren dump Vandoorne and if so who would partner Sainz there?
Ocon to partner Hulkenburg at Renault?
Does Leclerc get promoted to Haas alongside Magnussen?
Who partners Ericsson at Sauber...Giovinazzi or perhaps Kubica?
Hartley seems to be on his way out so probably some RB junior will be plugged in there?
Leaving the Williams seat alongside Sirotkin for whoever brings a boatload of cash with them?

I've also read that LeClerk will go to Ferrari and that Ferrari will help putting Raikkonen in the Sauber. In a way it would be nice to see Kimi end his career where it started.

/edit: Stroll Sr. Buying Force India seems to be done according to autobild. Maybe they can rename it to Forced Stroll.

While George Russell replacing Stroll at Williams makes most sense (esp. if he wins F2) then Russell/Sirotkin pairing would be ridiculous.

I don't see LeClerc getting loaned to Haas, he'll go straight to Ferrari IMO. The only question is when. I see Giovinazzi replacing LeClerc rather than Raikkonen. I just don't see how Kimi could give a flying rat about ending his F1 career at Sauber.

Me neither but at the same time he is the type that can surprise you when it comes to stuff like this.

IF I was Mercedes, I’d put Wherlein in the Williams.

Also, apparently talks for a future Dutch GP, are doing well. Track inspection of Assen by FOM in the following weeks. FIA already inspected it and made their remarks.

I wonder what changes would be needed. The CCWS record in the current track, is on the 1.18’s. A current F1 would produce lap times closer to what are seen in Spielberg.

Well it's not like he's doing something as crazy as signing for a race in a NASCAR feeder series. That would be unexpected out of him! :D :innocent:

no need to worry, 3 car teams are coming

Imagine that.

BOTH top teams used team orders on Sunday (though it seems it was only a problem when Mercedes did it :whistling: ), imagine how sucky things would get if they had another, junior driver in a 3rd car to throw into that mix too... :tumble:

If you want to see any overtaking at that track, they need to dig it all up and start again

Bike tracks do not make for good F1 tracks.

I liked Assen when it had the Northern Loop. Much like Hockenheim, I felt it lost it's character after the re-profiling.

More details on Sergio Marchionne situation. And they aren't what we would like to hear.

According to the Italian website lettera43.it Marchionne had an embolism while operating the shoulder to remove a tumor. He is in an irreversible coma and being kept alive by external support.

Still according to the website, Marchionne hid the fact he had aggressive cancer (sarcoma) from other people saying he would be doing just a routine check-up and the surgery was scheduled in a rush to address an orthopedic issue.

The surgery was a risky one and it didn't go well, with the embolism occurring, taking to an irreversible coma. His family has been informed there are no chances of recovery.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.
