I don't hate it... That downshift at the very end of the audio was pretty righteous... That thing painted yellow with the black accents... Bring it on.

10kg weight increase for LMP2 Oreca for Laguna Seca.

https://sportscar365.com/imsa/iwsc/lmp2 ... guna-seca/

A bit ironic because LMP2 (best-in-class car) performance was supposed to be the locked baseline performance, and that DPis are balanced against that. And just a few weeks ago when they announced the split classes for 2019 it was about letting DPis loose. And then suddenly the problem is that LMP2s are too fast.

Sounds like they're pandering to DPi OEMs.

It's at times like these you realise, despite the series coming together, the sports car civil war never really ended

If I had an LMP2 i'd pack it up and race somewhere else, they clearly don't want anything but their beloved DPs to win.

When you let the factories in to race and they're paying the bills, you tie your hands. Had they never allowed stock LMP2's to compete in the first place it wouldn't be a problem.

Agustin Canapino toured the Juncos Racing shop and tested Dallara's DPi simulator. As that Canapino is a current GM factory driver in Argentina, it wouldn't be surprising if he ran with Juncos next year.

2019 schedules for the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA & IMSA Ultra94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada has been released.

On the American side: Montreal & Laguna Seca has been added, with Montreal supporting the F1 weekend & Laguna Seca supporting the IndyCar weekend. Hopefully IMSA has some good coverage next year on NBC, but I will miss the good parts of FOX's coverage as well.

Doubtful, just look at NASCAR for an example, it always amazes me how everybody thinks NBC will be the Lord and saviour for coverage every year, then a few weeks later all I see is "I can't wait for this coverage to go back to Fox" whist failing to realise the only thing that changes between networks is the commentary team.

NBC has NASCAR, Indycar, IMSA and two main channels, so one of them at least is going to end up on CNBC whenever they clash.
