New LMP1 (moniker will change) regs used 2020-21 onwards:

https://assets.lemans.org/explorer/pdf/ ... s-2020.pdf

https://www.lemans.org/en/news/the-2020 ... ncil/50609

It is a sad state of things when almost everything is either standardized or performance capped and on top of this there's going to be a success ballast system.

Now that they're officially confirmed and out we can start waiting announcemts from manufacturers... the time is running out for 2020-21. I'm not holding my breath despite the earlier positive hype and up to 6 names being involved in the meetings. In before "ACO ruins everything again", this is what the manufacturers have asked.

Only just got around to watching Shanghai. What a weird race. The race shouldn't have even started when the conditons were unraceable; safety car starts benefit nobody. The correct Toyota won in the end and it was nice to see the first win for the new Aston. I'm surprised that the Corvette was a total non-factor.

Does the BT62 meet the requirements to be raced? It's not like Brabham manufactures that many cars, and actually, I didn't know they manufactured any cars.

They probably intend to use the "small manufacturer" provision of the homologation rules which only requires 25 examples (normally it is 300). I just googled this earlier and they intend to build 70.

They recently announced they are going to build a road legal version of the BT62, think that might have something to do with this?

A road legal conversion kit.

Road legality is not a requirement in the rules per se.

Full entry list for Le Mans:

Notable mentions: Risi in GTE Pro. GTE Pro looks good at the expense of some LMP2 snubs.
