SC in the final hour, if the other Toyota catches up and pass Alonso it'll be a bummer for him

Quite a lot of damage to the car but none to the tyre barrier, strangely

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

what I find it funny is that generally Alonso impose himself in the teams he drive, and that victory could put him into this position

so is likely that he could set a bad mood in the team if the team doesn't favour him?

Not really sure why Conway hasn't been given what seems like a pretty clear cut penalty

Can confirm that, I saw it happen myself. He was following a GT car through Eau Rouge, possibly the Ferrari that stopped on the Kemmel straight. Did they hit? I don't know. But I saw the proto lift in the air at the top of the hill and do a complete flip. Then it disappeared out of my sight.

I ran to a big screen but no replays.

I'm guessing Hindy would have been making cynical comments about Alonso and F1 during the entire race?

What could happen: WEC fans rejoice at the extra attention Alonso brings to their series (despite it being a bit of a papering over the problems the series has during a bit of a typical downturn for Sportscar racing atm) and try to welcome the curious new Alonso fans to their fold

What is actually happening (based on social media, RLM and Reddit): Sportscar fans looking down on F1 fans who have taken their time to come to their sport, make sniffy comments about the length/conservation/amount of racing In F1 and chide New fans for not knowing the differences between the two sports

Such is life, everywhere I guess. Needlessly competitive when we could all get along *shrug*

And it seems at the end of the race, the Monza cameraman made a new friend, the Spa cameraman. A guy who is on a pee break when the big incident happens
Pity the spa cameraman and how bad he's feeling tonight :p
