Such a shame, because for 23 hours and 40 minutes that was a perfectly enjoyable endurance race. Then when the officials decided to get involved to create EXCITEMENT and DRAMA it instantly turned stupid. Kind of worrying for the future.

That was such a bullshit call.

Well, I for one really enjoyed that race.

Correct call on penalising the Ferrari. 2 infringements in 3 laps is a no-no in anyones book

What was the second infringement? He didn't fucking hit the Lizard when they actually gave him the penalty.

Imagine this race control in 1979: Gilles +75 second penalty, Arnoux given 2nd place...

I'm glad it was a battle for the lowest class that we are upset about. Means that it'll blow over soon.

BTW, did Scott Tucker drive at all during the race?

I just came back at the moment, i sleep a little, and finally, my favorite driver wins Daytona 24 Hours!

But didn't see the bullshit in GTD. I have to see that later to judge.

This series is off to a great start.

At least they addressed a clearly questionable call and took action instead of sticking to a wrong call.

Shouldn't that be where was the Audi supposed to go? He had the right to the line, maybe he should have just stuck there and got clattered into by the Ferrari.

While I'm pleased that they decided to reverse their decision, I do think the Ferrari should have left more room (because there was plenty of room for them both). It's not as if the Audi driver was making a late, desperate move. They'd been door-to-door for at least 4-5 seconds, so he was fully entitled to that line. I really don't like the "thought process" behind just shoving drivers off wide on exit and pretending like it's okay. I understand sometimes it just happens unintentionally but there seems to be a belief among many that it's somehow an okay thing to do any time.
