No ESPN3 coverage for some reason and ALMS.com is down. Hopefully tv picks it up live.

Do ALMS try and stream the events on a pizza or something? Because holy jesus they suck at this. The quality is crap, the streams constantly buffer, they get overloaded and boot people (seriously, is booting people off the stream to get it stable actually a good idea?), it lags behind the 'live' event, and the servers crash continually.

Give up and stream via YouTube like Blancpain does. They've had years to sort it, it's worse than ever, and it won't get better.

The ALMS Stream isn't really 1200 though. It downsizes the streams to cope with the server being overloaded, it just claims 1200 since that's what the top quality is. With the YouTube servers the load with be just fine, since they actually know how to stream. Blancpains stream is beautiful on it, so if they can do it then ALMS can do it too.

ALMS streaming is horrific, and them apologising for a server crash doesn't mean much when they actively boot viewers to cope with overloaded servers.

Think this is the first time this year I've tried to use alms.com, when I've used it in the past few years its been very good, reliable and better quality than motorstv. Has it been useless all this year or was today just a one off?-
