My recorder failed, so I missed the race. Was it any good? Is it stored somewhere on Dailymotion?
Personally I'd love to have a full race video archive for next year, as ALMS did this season.

The LMS calendar should follow this weekend or early next week. Expect two circuits that "have never hosted the LMS before" to be part of a 5-race calendar. Your guess is as good as mine, but with Spa off the charts perhaps we'll see Zolder or Assen? Assen would be a great addition to the calendar, IMO... There are very few European circuits that have never hosted an LMS race that could be considered suitable for such a series - could we be looking at the addition of somewhere like Hockenheim in Germany or Aragon in Spain?

To quote this: Zolder is on the LMS calendar 2012 :)

Previous races have not been stored at Dailymotion.

While I prefer PLM over Bahrain, I don't think Bahrain would be a dull race. The V8 layout is pretty decent and should be fun with the WEC cars. They would have gone to Abu Dhabi after all...

I'm afraid to lose Sebring in 2013, as clearly, organizers do not want to share the track with another series.

So, up till now Peugeot has been testing the 908 with following drivers:
Bertrand Baguette, Loïc Duval, Franck Mailleux, Olivier Pla, Fred Makowiecki, Marino Franchitti & Lucas di Grassi.

Will be interesting.

Rumored tracks for LMS: Brno, Donington, Portimao, Zolder and Le Castellet (according to Mariantic).

That is correct:

Paul Ricard (April)
Zolder (May)
Donington (August, maybe?)
Brno (September)
Portimao (November)

Spa hosts a WEC round already.

I'd heard that Signatech would be retaining its trio from this year and adding a few others to fill out the second car, including another Academy winner... So having Mailleux in that list is intriguing.

Some of those are interesting. I was chatting with a friend about it, I can see Loïc Duval being a natural fit for them, having run so well at Oreca. Also he is French.

Makowiecki is an interesting choice, I'm not sure he's totally error-free yet although he is insanely fast. On the other hand, Marino makes very few mistakes but isn't quite as quick.

One of the points consistently made about Peugeot is that they certainly haven't got the best drivers, and for that matter even the best French drivers. I think Duval is an excellent choice but I think Pla might actually be top three in terms of French drivers. Peugeot would do well to stick him in with Bourdais/Pagenaud at Le Mans... Tough to argue against that trio.

In the latest Autosport Famin says they'll likely need only two new drivers.

Bourdais' and Pagenaud's possible IndyCar commitments might complicate things.

Thank god they are crazy! :p

Without LMP1 the risk of having much high-speed shenanigans is a bit lower, I guess.

I thought that as well at first, but we still have to see the actual size of that grid. I'm not that positive about having around 20 prototypes as rumored. It might even be a 30/35-ish grid including GTs.

Pagenaud maybe, but honestly I can't see Bourdais giving up on Le Mans while having a top shot to win the race, even if he gets a full-time IndyCar ride.

No LMP1 in LMS? Are LMP1 only running in WEC? I haven't followed the news around prototpye racing this year.

Yep!

"In 2012, the FIA World Endurance Championship and Le Mans Series will have to live apart.
At Imola the teams were consulted to understand their requirements for the upcoming season.
It has been decided that LMP1 prototypes will no longer be accepted as their formats and
running costs are better adapted to the World Endurance Championship. The LMP2s will be
at the top of the event’s bills, followed by GTE Am & Pro, Formula Le Mans and newcomers,
the GTCs. This last category will gather « One make series » cars such as the Porsche Carrera
Cup or Ferrari Challenge. In 2012, 20 to 25 prototypes and the same number of GTs promise
interesting starting grids."
