Rockenfeller's Audi clipped a GT Ferrari, spun into the fence backward and disintegrated.

what are the odds two wrecks like this? In one race? Without any bad injuries? They dodged two bullets today. And there's still 16 hours to go...

Rockenfeller had an horrible crash (as you can see in the screenshot above) while lapping a Ferrari on the Hunaudieres straight. Word is he's alive and conscious, but no official news yet.

But the screenshot looks like it is the run down to Indianapolis?

It wasn't Hunaudieres, it was the runup to Indianapolis, I think.

Guys I hope I"m wrong when I say this,

But enjoy Le Mans as you know it and enjoy these cars as you know it.

I have a feeling the ACO is going to put a chicane before Indianapolis and neuter the cars more for next year.

Yes, my mistake. I thought that was the kink before Mulsanne.

But seriously should they do some some safety reinforcement? On so many parts of the track there is only the armco and then forest.

No, he hit back on, at least that's what they said. Or maybe side on?

One of the SPEED reporters was saying he saw the ambulance go by the medical center and out of the track. Presumably to a local hospital. Also said that the interior of the ambulance was fairly calm.
