Apparently not, though there's some debate that it does work for chevy and not for Honda or maybe on ovals they need all the cooling they can get so have a different config, but unless anyone works for a team, no-one really knows

Of course intelligent conspiracy theorists like me assume it's only there to make it stand apart from the CART cars and be more of the IRL-era brand (which is pretty much the only reason the IRL cars had airboxes apparently)
But that just makes too much sense to be blessed with any kind of logic or source of the rumour because that's just what "the man" wants you to think

Ehhh, it's late.

With JPM having such difficulties landing a seat, maybe he should be looking at NASCAR for a ride, where he can age and fade away peacefully...

Oh wait

There is no bad part to search for this time, Mr Negative, lets enjoy the unbridled good times now they're here

We're getting an identical champcar back at the top level of a unified open wheel series, CART is back and it's 1995 all over again

Indycar will rule the world!

NO.

NO.

This is brilliant, but less of the 1995 CART references please. The LAST thing we need is for Jacques Fucking Villeneuve to show up.

Wonder how ChampCar-esque they can get with the current chassis. And for that matter...are we talking the last ChampCar via Panoz or the stalwart Lola chassis?

Also I wonder why they didn't go 90s-ish to the pre-split era of aesthetics? Not possible with the more bulky current Dallara tub?

Given that the original concept was for Dallara to provide a tub and then IndyCar to mandate the bodywork, I would have thought there is quite a lot of scope for changes compared to a 'normal' single-seater chasiss. I don't think it would be too difficult to bring the sidepods forward, alter the nose profile etc. The biggest difficulty might be with the underbody, but I'm sure there are possibilities.

Panoz were essentially able to turn the DP01 into the DP09 without an awul lot of fuss.

And the name. Reynard is a much cooler name.

doubt it would get any live TV (only MRTI race that does is the Freedom 100)

all of their races are live streamed normally though so hopefully that stays (they been showing them on the iRacing streaming site at times too)
