just make a bit difficult to drive with less downforce for ovals and everything will be ok, more like a handicap for good drivers

I'm actually kinda not that keen of it. Yes it's better aesthetically than what we have had the past few years but there's just something about it that isn't grabbing me. It just looks more like a junior category car rather than something from a more top tier series.

When you look at an old CART car, A modern F1 or even an GP2/F2 car, They look like there big powerful, Fast top tier race cars & I just don't think this does.

I mean it doesn't really look that different from an Indy Lights car:

I think the lack of rear wing end plates is what ruins an otherwise good looking car. It just looks like something is just missing in the back.

Looks like IndyCar will continue to be the main headliner for Long Beach

Well, they do share the same tub... :p

FWIW, I think the car is a huge aesthetic improvement over the original DW12 or the aero kit versions. The large ramps in front of the rear wheels aren't great, but they aren't horrible like the original DW12's. The only thing that really sticks out is the rear wing. It's so small and low that it just throws off the overall balance. It's still a nice looking car, but that one thing keeps it from being truly great.

That Honda livery reminds me of the BAR Lucky Strike colors.

Was going to post the exact same thing

Literally the only thing I don't like about it is the aerodynamic flick ups before the rear wheels (but hell, the DP-01 had something similar IIRC)
They might kid you they're there for safety, but they're there for aero and aero alone.
Without them the racing on ovals might even be more hanford and less restrictor plate, but we'll see what we get next year

The past is the future again. Good looking cars and no Tony George.

We made it, everyone

This is a shorter version with some of Servia's comments...

Very optimistic with what I hear. Just need to turn the wick up a bit on those engines.

Bourdais testing tomorrow at Mid-Ohio. If all goes well, he will run a 3rd car at Watkins Glen & Sonoma

Wow. He almost killed himself 2 months ago. That's brilliant.

Got to give credit to Fernandez for getting his driver's seat fee paid in full up front.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.
